Elder Doctrinal Affirmations
It is our conviction that we must have unity in the doctrinal teaching of our church. We believe that true unity in a local church is found in an affirmation by the elders of the church in a much broader doctrinal statement than what is required of the general membership. We do not believe it is healthy or productive for a lowest common denominator theological position to be taken by the elders of the church.
Therefore, we have chosen to affirm the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689 (with minor annotations) as a unifying doctrinal statement for the elders of our church. We also require our elders to hold to the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy and the Danvers Statement on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood.
