Core Values
1. Humble Dependence on the Spirit
We believe the Spirit of God is the only minister that is effectual and that we are completely dependent on Him to bring any fruit in ministry. Therefore, we will constantly employ the means He provides for effective ministry: continual prayer and proclamation of the Word.
2. Corporate Worship
We believe that God not only requires us to worship Him, but also provides regulations for how we should worship Him. We believe God commands the church to worship Him through expositional preaching of the Word, prayer, doctrinally sound and culturally appropriate music, and the administration of the ordinances.
3. Missions
We believe that it is the church’s responsibility to train and send people into global and local church planting and outreach. We believe our church should always be looking outward and known as a training and sending church.
4. Biblical Fidelity
We believe that God’s Word is both authoritative and sufficient for all of life and doctrine. We believe it needs to be taught systematically and faithfully. We believe we have nothing else to offer people, that brings real life change, outside of His Word. Therefore, we believe all areas of ministry need to be saturated by the Word of God.
5. Church Family
We believe God has saved us not only as individuals, but as a community of the redeemed. We believe the type of community God has called His redeemed into is evidenced in confession of sin, ongoing fellowship, service to the body, honesty in our relationships, and church discipline.
6. Transforming Community
We believe that truly transformed individuals will desire, out of love for their neighbors, to see transformation in their local communities. We believe this will be expressed in evangelism to all groups, diligence in vocation, service to the poor, care for “orphans and widows,” and responsible citizenship.
7. Male Leadership
We believe the church and the home is to be led by men. We believe that men must be trained to be godly elders, deacons, husbands, and fathers
